Martinsburg, WV Shenandoah Community Health is pleased to welcome Beth Omundsen, MD, Family Practice Physician, to their team. She will join the clinical staff of SCH Winchester where she will see patients in the primary care department.
Dr. Omundsen received her Doctorate of Medicine from Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine and is certified with American Board of Family Medicine. She was a private practicing family physician for 14 years and speaker for various medical organizations. In 2019 she was selected by Doximity network of healthcare professionals as one of 70 individuals for their Medical Advisory Board Summit. She is currently a speaker for various pharmaceutical companies educating other medical professionals on products for diabetes, cardiovascular disease, chronic kidney disease and migraine headaches.
Dr. Omundsen is a member of American Academy of Family Physicians; Associate Professor at the Department of Family Medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University; and preceptor for resident physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, pharmacy students, medical students and physical therapists at Shenandoah University, James Madison University, and Shepherd University. Additionally, she is a community educational speaker on a variety of health topics including smoking cessation, hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, depression, bipolar disorder, women’s health and other health related topics. Dr. Omundsen has a special interest in preventative health and promoting healthy lifestyles to prevent medical problems from developing and considers herself to be her patients partner in their healthcare.
